Bobby and David Butlin's Memories

One of the biggest honourable moments is when Bobby and David got in touch with me about the website and wanting to help with the memories of Butlin's. What had excited me a great deal is when the words "David is Sir Billy's Nephew", oh wow, what an amazing moment. Below is the photos of Butlin's and they are very exciting to see them.
Small print: Permission was given to me by Bobby and David (Sir Billy's Nephew), to supply the photos and information shown below. All photos are copyright to Bobby and David (Sir Billy's Nephew) and can be removed at any time. These are on show to give you another view of Butlin's history from a customers/staffs view and are not from my collection. David and Bobby Butlins Memories

Bobby  is a fantastic member of my group, Celebrating Butlins with Memories, photos and collections, as he continues to surprise us all with his collections and memories. Giving me permission to share his items on this site, I was extremely taken back when I had received a photo of my hero, Sir William Butlin, and his family.

The main photo shown is one great honor as we see Bobby on the right-hand side sitting down with his friend, Sir William's Butlin nephew David. There is much I would like to ask as my mind feels so very excited to have this on the website. Thank you so very much Bobby and David for giving me permission to share this.

This page is set as "in progress" which means that updates can be applied at a later date.

Sir William (Billy) Butlin Family Photos

When this photo arrived, I could not believe what I was seeing as it's truly magical to see. It's a new level of the history of Butlins and my hero Sir William Butlin. This photo is amazing to see and shows you another side of the Butlin's history and how important the family connection is for this wonderful family.

This is an extremely important photo that contributes towards the  history and timeline of Butlin's as we see the founder here showing how proud he is of his family. To have this on my website is mind-blowing. Sitting down with a great smile is the main man, the governor, or rightfully so, his name "Sir William Butlin". Sitting next to him is a lovely and amazing person who done a great deal for charity and continued the Butlin spirit, Lady Sheila Butlin.

Sitting in the middle of Mr. and Mrs. Butlin is their granddaughter, Coral. In a rare photo, we see a photo of Sir Billy's Butlin's children, Jackie, Billy Junior and Cherrie Butlin.

As quoted by Bobby "This is the first time this picture has ever been seen by the public so many thanks David". I am extremely grateful and honored to show this wonderful photo of the main man and his lovely family.

Remembering Barry Island Butlins

In honour of former location of Butlin's Barry Island is a blue plaque. This is a special item as you can see the Butlin Holiday Camp logo, which was used a great deal in the early days of Butlin's.

These pin badges were given to the work force who helped build the camp as the camp didn't open till 1966
