Butlin's Memorabilia Website
Understanding the Watermarks

Acknowledging ownership and maintaining a respectful attitude

The items featured on this website are primarily from my collection, with the exception of those that have been shared along with their untold stories. I am deeply appreciative of those who documented Butlin's through photography during a time that has now faded. As is standard practice, the images are subject to the copyright of the publisher. For this reason, I consistently include the publisher's name and reference numbers to express my gratitude for their dedication and to credit those who have contributed such beautiful work.

  • Acknowledging the Publisher
You might have already seen that a majority of my collection is marked with a watermark, including those associated with the untold stories of Butlins. This approach has been adopted to help prevent unauthorized copying and selling of the images. Unfortunately, some individuals may download these photos through various means and later sell them as "Genuine Photos," despite being copies of the original items, such as postcard images.
  • Open to solving issues Each item displayed on my website is meant to inspire joy and evoke fond memories. I recognize that there may be occasions when I do not meet expectations, and I apologize for any such instances. I invite you to contact me so we can resolve any issues swiftly. This could involve the removal of an item or the alteration of a photo to protect someone's identity. Please understand that these changes will not be publicly announced; they will simply be necessary actions. I look forward to discussing this further to ensure your proper representation.
  • Reproduction Request  or Copies
I must respectfully decline any requests for an unwatermarked copy of the original. I do not plan to fulfill such requests, and I kindly ask that you do not pursue this further. Any emails or inquiries regarding this matter will not be responded to. I recommend visiting the publisher's website for information on purchasing or obtaining a copy. You may also find alternative options through selling websites or by visiting locations such as Butlins Minehead, Skegness Butlins, and Bognor Regis Butlins.

Who and What is Butlin's Memorabilia Website
This website, owned and created by Mark Banks, serves as a showcase for his collection of Butlin's memorabilia. What began as a personal hobby during his free time has transformed into a space that aims to bring smiles to others. It is essential to clarify that this is not the official Butlin's website nor an authorized archive. The site has expanded to include stories from individuals, shared with their permission, reflecting their experiences at Butlin's, whether as guests or former employees. This platform is dedicated to honouring all who have been associated with this extraordinary company and to Sir William Butlin, its founder. Furthermore, it contains information derived from personal research into Butlin's history, which is not considered official.

It is important to clarify that Butlin's Memorabilia is not the official website for Butlins. Furthermore, this site does not represent the official archive of Butlin's. The Butlin's company, respective owners and Butlins.com have not commissioned me to create this site, and they have no role in its development or the information provided. I am truly grateful for their support in allowing me to showcase the company's extensive history.
