Taken from my 1967 Entertainment Guide
According to the 1967 map, the Redcamp provided single-decker accommodation, referred to as 'room only', which could be used by both staff and customers.
Towards the end of the Red Camp rows, there was a shop (No. 22) where campers could purchase necessary items for their stay.
Simply known as the Corner shop (22), it would offer the customers the basics.
In the entertainment guide for 1982, shop No. 11 was renamed the Take Away Food Shop. It now also offers accommodation enquiries for flatlets and blue camp.
Number 11 on this list.

With the help of this map, we can observe the Redcamp chalet from the Windsor Sports Field and BMX track up to the location of Brendons Court. The shop is still located at number 11, but number 29 is not labeled on others maps and is referred to as the 'Ladies Amenity Room'.

The location of the shop, number 11, is now referred to as 'Redwood Reception Accommodation Enquiries and Take-Away Food Shop'. The rooms underwent redecoration, but no significant changes were made.
1993 Entertainment Guide
By 1993, the shop had been removed and was replaced by check-in number 4. The premier accommodation was added to both sections. The top end had the first row converted, while the second had the first two rows changed to premier rooms.

In 1999, Butlins underwent changes and was reduced to three locations, now known as resorts. The former Redwood was split into two separate villages: the top end is now called 'Surfers Point' and the bottom half is known as 'Sunset Wharf'.

The premium room-only option at Butlins Minehead remains the first choice. The other rooms have received little attention besides basic maintenance. They are still equipped with baths and are considered standard room-only accommodation. Although they are a short walk from the car park, they are quite far from the dining rooms.

This area has undergone significant changes since it is no longer part of today's Butlins (as of 2023). The single-decker, room-only chalets remained on the camp for many years, with staff using them intermittently. Later on in the timeline, they were demolished to make way for the brand-new West Lake Chalets. The new village that replaced them also took over the car park and became larger than what is shown here. For more information, please see below.

Surfer's Point will remain unchanged, with only a fresh coat of paint to enhance its appearance. In contrast, Sunset Wharf was demolished in late 2013 and early 2014. The new village will expand, taking up a significant portion of the car park, and will include the addition of lakes.
Russ memory - "When I went back in 1992 we were fitting out the new Broadway Showbar with sound & lighting rigs (I was the first Stage Manager of The Broadway). I was living in Redwood in one of the last rows of older chalets. I’ll always remember coming out of the Broadway covered in dirt, dust and God knows what else and relaxing in the good old very deep bathtubs they still had. "
Nic Aylin memory - "In 1976, one chalet on ZH Red Camp was converted into a little shop to service the new self-catering flatlets."
