Paul's love for the Butlin's name is strong, but there is one thing he loves even more at Butlin's. The Monorail is an area that Paul enjoys very much and I can safely say that if it were to return, he would be one of the first people waiting to get on it and even trying to persuade them to let him drive it (or try to).
Paul got in touch with me when I started posting photos of the Butlin's Minehead Monorail when it returned in 2012. This was not in the form of a ride, but more of a memento for people to see and sit on for the photo moment. Since then, Paul has been in touch with me about this amazing ride and started sharing his photos with the website.
In 2021, a beautiful moment was frozen in time as Mr and Mrs Hibbert celebrated their wedding. It was a day that saw a lovely couple say the words "I do" and from there a bright future lay ahead. The Butlins Memorabilia website, the Celebrate Butlins group and Mark Banks would like to congratulate you both on your marriage and wish you the very best for the future.
I was also very lucky to be given permission to add these photos to the website on Paul's page (now his wife's page). Her wedding dress looks absolutely stunning with a brilliant suit to add to the photo, wow what great photos. As you can see from these photos, there is a Butlins connection (yes, I could not help but notice). As a friend of Paul's, I am delighted to be able to show you these photos and look forward to seeing more. Of course Paul was able to find another monorail.
Permission has been given to Mark and Butlins Memorabilia website by Paul to show his wonderful Butlin's story. All stories and photos shown on this site do not belong to me and belong to those who have shared them. Please do not ask for their details as I will not share them with you as I do not hold their details and it's not my place to give them away if I did.
