Start and build up your collection of Butlin's Mosney Memorabilia with eBay, here is some suggestions
The competition was strong for holidays as many customers had started to go aboard for their breaks. These offers from aboard had affected Butlin's greatly as the owners of the time, the Rank Organisation, had reviewed how they complete. Sadly, Butlin's Filey, the third and biggest holiday camp had no future plans as a Butlins with its gates closing for the last time in 1983. The dream of Butlin's in Filey had come to a sad end as the memories and collections of this amazing location were all that remained. The camp did reopen in 1986 under the name Amtree Park however, it did not last long.
The demolition of the buildings of the former Butlins camp had started in 1988 until all came to an end in 2003. The brilliant news is that a part of the old Butlin's Filey remains today under the name of Primrose Valley under the Haven name. Another part is under the name of "The Bay Filey" holiday resort, both links are shown below for you to view. The former railway station platforms remain in place today under private land.
