In this area, you can see all the postcards that are before the Butlin's Holiday Worlds era. The years covered are from opening year to around 1986. There is also some in here with no postmark dates.
Rank had made a bold move to reduce the camps to only five and Butlin's Pwllheli was one of the selected ones to remain. At first, it was renamed to Pwllheli Holiday World for a small time until it changed into it's final name.
The final changed to Butlin's Pwllheli was when it was renamed to Starcoast World. This was the final name for Butlin's Pwllheli until 1998 when Rank had closed the site down and transferred it the sister company Haven, which it remains to this very day.
